Why Heartburn At Night May Be Caused By Hidden Factors

Heartburn at night can be caused by a variety of factors, but if the symptoms only surface during the nocturnal hours it is more than likely that you are being affected by lifestyle factors. Eating too much rich food, or food which is loaded with saturated fat, is a major trigger factor for acid reflux. If you combine this with drinking alcohol and smoking, you are even more likely to suffer a reaction at some stage. These dietary and lifestyle factors can be enough on their own to create the symptoms of heartburn, but this does not mean that there is not an underlying condition to deal with, so make sure that you see a physician if you are in any doubt.
